Sweet shop & bakery

Billing software for sweet shops and bakeries

A mithai counter sells by weight: “half kilo kaju katli, 250 grams of motichoor”. MudraERP’s weigh card takes kg, g or a rupee amount, with quick buttons for 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg, so the cashier keeps up with a festival queue.

  • GST at 5% and 18%
  • Units: kg, g, pcs, box
  • Prices include GST

How a sweet shop & bakery business runs on MudraERP

Sweets and snacks made each morning can be marked “made fresh daily”. The day opening adds today’s batch and writes off or keeps yesterday’s leftover in one go, and the evening stock sheet shows what really sold. Caterers and offices that order on credit sit in Dues until they pay.

  • kg | g | ₹ weighing

Price per kg on the tile; the weigh card turns “₹200 worth” into the right weight on the bill.

  • Fresh-stock day

Open the day with today’s batch, write off or carry yesterday’s leftover, and close with a shelf count.

  • Boxes and gift packs

Sell by kg, by piece or by box. Gift boxes and festival hampers are items of their own.

Questions from sweet shop & bakery owners

Can the cashier sell by rupee amount instead of weight?

Yes. Switch the weigh card to ₹ and type what the customer wants to spend; MudraERP works out the weight from the price per kg and puts both on the bill.

How do I handle sweets made fresh every day?

Mark those items “made fresh daily”. Each morning the day opening adds the new batch and writes off or keeps what was left yesterday, so stock and wastage stay true.

Does it track the expiry date of each batch?

Not as separate batches. Fresh items are handled through the daily opening and closing instead, which suits sweets that are sold the same day or the next.

Which GST rates does MudraERP set up for a sweet shop & bakery business?

The Sweet shop & bakery setup offers 5% and 18%, with new items starting at 5% and prices including GST. Mithai, namkeen, cakes and pastries are mostly 5% under GST 2.0; a few packaged items stay at 18%. Prices are usually quoted with GST included. These are starting points: confirm the rate for each item with your CA.
