Billing software for hardware, paint and sanitary shops
A hardware counter sells paint by the litre, wire by the metre, nails by the kilo and taps by the piece, often to a contractor who pays later. MudraERP starts you with pcs, kg, ltr, m and box as units and the GST rates for paints, fittings and tools.
GST at 5% and 18% Units: pcs, kg, ltr, box Prices include GST
How a hardware & paints business runs on MudraERP
Contractors ask for a rate first: make a quotation, turn it into a bill when they confirm, and keep their running balance in Dues. Purchase bills from paint and plumbing distributors add stock and input GST. Search finds an item by name or part code, so the cashier does not need to know every SKU.
Every unit you sell in
Pieces, kg, litres, metres and boxes, each item in its own unit.
Quotations to bills

Questions from hardware & paints owners
Can I sell wire by the metre and screws by the kilo?
Yes. Each item has its own unit, and quantities can have decimals, so 12.5 m of wire or 0.75 kg of nails bill correctly.
Can I give a contractor a quotation first?
Yes. Make a quotation, print or share it, and turn it into an invoice when the order is confirmed.
Does it support paint tinting formulas?
No. Bill the tinted paint as an item, or the base and the tint as separate lines.
Which GST rates does MudraERP set up for a hardware & paints business?
The Hardware & paints setup offers 5% and 18%, with new items starting at 18% and prices including GST. Paints, pipes, fittings and sanitaryware are 18%; most hand tools moved from 12% to 5% under GST 2.0. These are starting points: confirm the rate for each item with your CA.
