Billing software for stationery, book and gift shops
A stationery shop’s bill can hold three GST rates: a textbook at 0%, a toy at 5% and a gift item at 18%. MudraERP keeps the rate on each item, so the school-season queue moves without anyone checking a rate chart.

How a stationery & books business runs on MudraERP
In April and June the counter runs book lists all day: scan or tap, print the receipt, next. Schools and offices that buy on account sit in Dues. Low-stock badges flag the notebooks and pens that sell out first, and purchase bills from publishers add stock.
Three rates on one bill
Books, toys and gifts each taxed at their own rate, automatically.
Rush-hour counter
Frequent items first, barcode scanning and F9 to charge.
School and office accounts
Credit sales with ageing and WhatsApp reminders.

Questions from stationery & books owners
Can I make a school book-list bundle?
Make the set an item of its own if you sell it as one, or bill the books together from a held bill. Bundles that take each book out of stock automatically are not available.
Do 0% items appear in my GST returns?
Yes. They are part of the same bills MudraERP prepares your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B from. Check with your CA how your nil-rated and exempt sales should be reported.
Can I sell photocopies and printouts?
Yes, as service items without stock, at the rate your CA advises.
Which GST rates does MudraERP set up for a stationery & books business?
The Stationery & books setup offers 0%, 5% and 18%, with new items starting at 5% and prices including GST. Printed books, exercise books, pencils and crayons are 0% under GST 2.0; toys and many stationery items 5%; gifts and most other items 18%. These are starting points: confirm the rate for each item with your CA.
