Billing software for jewellery shops
A jewellery bill is weight times the day’s rate, plus making charges, plus 3% GST. MudraERP starts a jeweller with grams and milligrams as units, 3% as the default rate, prices before GST, and a separate line for making charges.

How a jewellery business runs on MudraERP
Enter the weight to the milligram and the rate for the purity; the making charges go on their own line at their own rate. Repairs and remaking on the customer’s own gold are job work at 5%. Karigars and bullion suppliers are parties with their own ledgers.

Questions from jewellery owners
Can I update the gold rate every day?
Change the rate on the bill line, or update the item’s price with the day’s rate. A daily rate board that reprices every item at once is not available yet.
How do I handle old gold taken in exchange?
Record the old gold as a deduction or a separate entry as your CA advises. MudraERP does not have a dedicated old-gold exchange screen.
Is hallmarking (HUID) shown on the bill?
Add the HUID to the line description. It is not a separate tracked field.
Which GST rates does MudraERP set up for a jewellery business?
The Jewellery setup offers 3%, 5% and 18%, with new items starting at 3% and prices before GST. Gold, silver and jewellery are 3%; making charges on the customer’s own gold (job work) are 5%. Prices start before GST. These are starting points: confirm the rate for each item with your CA.
